Default Anchor Text Placemant

I have read a hundred explanations of how to get the anchor text code but nothing about the placement of the code to get a clickable link.
Wherever I place the code all I ever get is the html code and never the keyword clickable link.
What am I missing here?

Can you elaborate? Where are you placing the html? Are you using Wordpress or some other cms or are you building html with Frontpage, Dreamweaver, etc.?

It wont' make a clickable link in notepad. Notepad is just a text document.

It may or may not make a clickable link in comments. That will depend upon whether the blog owner allows it.

It should make a clickable link in Wordpress. However, you need to be in HTML view when you input the code. If you write out the code while in 'visual' view, then it wont' work.

Try putting your code in a post here on WF and it will work. Alternatively, take the easy route. Write your anchor text then click on the 'hyperlink' icon (the little world with the paper clip on) and paste in the url.

Maybe there's something wrong with the coding, check it carefully before placing it.
