What's the difference between Yahooo and Google backlinks

I see this whenever i'm checking for backlinks in some websites. How's google backlinks different from yahoo backlinks.

The same reason you rank #5 on google kw ABC and rank #25 on yahoo for the same keyword.

Each search engine looks at different factors. What qualifies as a link on google does not mean it qualifies as a link on yahoo (and vise versa).

If you ever find out what the true difference in backlink factors between the two are, I suggest you write an eBook, create a membership site, hold a few seminars and run to the hills with your stack-o-cash.

I think if you are able to figure THAT out, you won't be able to run with your stack... you'd need a truck

Yahoo shows MUCH MORE backlinks.

Google shows WAY TOO FEW backlinks. (unless you have Google Webmaster, which is pretty much like Yahoo backlinks).

Therefore, EVERYBODY is using Yahoo (particularly Yahoo Site Explorer or SEOQuake) when it comes to checking backlinks. NOBODY uses Google.

Thanks for your replies. But how do you explain SEOcentro telling me that I have 7 google backlinks, 15 yahoo links and 30 live links(whatever that means). Now how's that different from yahoo explorer telling me that I have over 1000 backlinks.

Google shows only the quality links but Yahoo doesn't. Google is very much concern about the spam sites and protest very strictly. This is the main reason which makes Google no.1.

Simple. Google Backlinks are from Google and Yahoo backlinks are from Yahoo.

It has something to do with the quality of the links why Google shows small number of backlinks.

The difference is in the quantity and quality.

Google only shows quality backlink, Yahoo shows all the backlink good and poor...

As google and yahoo and all the search engines hold the traffic and content from the different sites. So all the backlinks you get from the SE are also not same.

There is a big difference between the number of backlinks on yahoo and Google.Google does not crawl and display all links to your site, it only shows from high PR relevant sites and it takes time to crawl so there are own advantages for getting backlinks from yahoo and Google.
