Changing site themes and template.

Just to ask something about before doing it...

Well here.. If we change our site templates and themes, does it affects the site's keyword rankings and the PR's as well?

As long as the urls and linking structure remain the same, your pr should not change.

Changing your theme/template can affect your rankings, but how much it can affect you is hard to say. Changing images and colors in the existing theme generally should not.

When a site is ranking and making money, I try to leave it alone unless really necessary.

Well if thats the case, then we should select the best for it before changing it in the future. Its not easy to build rankings anyway.

I am not sure that changing the theme would really cause any issues. As long as all of the information, page structures, page titles, and other info stays the same, you should be ok.

True, but changing a theme can mean a radical change to page structure. For example, a different nav setup alone may change the internal linking enough to cause problems. (It is possible it could help too.)

Just to clarify, I didn't say it will cause problems, I said it can.
