Default What's my next move?

Hey guys,

Want to share with you an experience and ask your thoughts and ideas.

I have a site that promotes a product that is being searched (exact) around 18,000 times per month globally and 2,000+ in the UK (local).

My site is ranked 18th on Google.com and 6-8 on Google.co.uk

I have made a few nice sales but the avg. traffic to the site is less than 50 unique visitors a day.

I have spread the word and links in article directories, Hubpages, a few guest blogs and so on...

What is my next move?

Keep up doing the same? Hoping it will break one day to page 1 of Google.com as well?

I have made a few nice sales of the product but not enough of-course.

Thank you,

One tip. Make sure your landing pages don't have any spelling mistakes. That can put people off. Anyone for tennis?

Look to see where your visitors and conversions are coming from and start building on that.

Have you checked out your competition to see why they are ranking above you?

SEO is great if you can get it right. Personally I don't need to worry about that

It sounds to me like you need to be focusing on getting more traffic to your site.

I'm up for tennis, you game?

No, it's not that site, no I don't have spelling mistakes, thanks for the tip.

How come you don't have to worry about PPC? I'm curious.

Not sure if you're going for the us or uk market?

Regardless, if you can improve on your competition on the serp, work on your seo. On page and backlinks.

Spend a few weeks keyword targeting your home page and building some good backlinks and you'll be getting towards that first page. It's just a game of persistence and patience for the most part.

You need to keep adding links for sure. Try and use a variety of links, add some profile links into the mix, and keep adding more of what you have already done also.

Not sure how big your site is (how many pages), but if it only has a few you should also keep adding content to it for a while also as this will help its long term progression.

Good luck, and hope you start to see better rankings and more sales soon

Paul

out of SEO, your next move should be probably SMO, more traffic you will get if you can do it correctly.
