Ive greatly enjoyedlooking through your site coolquirks.com and I was wondering if you'd be interested in exchanging links with my website, which has a related subject. I can offer you a home page link back from 4 of my related websites all in google cache and backlinks which are: doreeshafir(dot)com PR5 domainnameregistrationgb(dot)com sitmeanssittemecula(dot)net If you are interested, please send me the following details of your site: TITLE: URL: I'll add your link as soon as possible, in the next 24 hours. As soon as it's ready, I'll send you a confirmation email along with the information (TITLE and URL) regarding my site to be placed at yours." Thanks everyone |

Skip it. All of those sites are autoblogs packed with links. You could get the same value blog commenting. Don't give up a good link from your site for junk in return. Ask for an reciprocal link instead. She links to you from whatever site she wants you to link to. I bet that backlink would have some value. I know some people frown on reciprocal linking but it's fine if done in moderation. |

I got the same Email. I just labeled it as spam. Those sites are what are known as link farms. They have hundreds of links and the content from what I saw is pretty awful (at least they have content -- some link farms don't even have that) and Google does not index such links so you'll be giving a link on your own site which may have some link juice in exchange for something worthless. Plus, if you get yourself listed on too many such sites, you can get penalized by Google. Edit: actually, looking at your Email, I got a very similar one at my blog, though with sites in a different niche. Same difference though. Eric |

Nowadays link exchange is not a great idea to get more visibility in search engines unless your site is new. However I would recommend to avoid it.

I guess this is her job. I get this email from her for almost all my sites, my guess is that she is using some kind of automated software to search for webmaster emails and mail them and by now, I'm sure she will have like thousand links of different sites on that page she wants to drop your link, it's all piece of junk

Agree with the others. I get those offers all the time also and just ignore them.
