hey guys,

I'm looking to do some seo work for my sites. I've heard several times on this forum that you can outsource backlinking for relatively cheap, and experience first page rankings.

One post even mentioned that first page rankings through backlinks can be attained for only 40 dollars.

From my experience, this has not been the case. I've spent 40 dollars to improve my ranking, but rarely achieve top results.

Have you guys had success through outsourcing backlinks? And if so, what service provides the best bang for your buck?

I have tried many of the linkbuilding services here and if I am completely honest none of them were worth paying for. If you want it all outsourced (which I highly recommend you do) the best way is to hire and train some people from the philippines.

Getting first page rankings depends of the competition and you can generalize that for every keyword. If someone used method X and got his keyword to number one that rarely means if you will use method X you will get the same results.

There are many variables and if you really want to get top search engine rankings you really need to use a service that provides constant link building using various methods and not look for something that costs $40 and hope that will work. In 99.9% of the case, it won't and you will simply waste your money.

SEO and is not cheap, not matter if you do it yourself or if you outsource it and you need to be willing to invest the money and/or time in order to see results. It simply won't work otherwise. In my opinion...

What time period have you tested this over? It does take a bit of time for these services to work. I would recommend at least 3-6 months before throwing in the towel completely. I've used 3waylinks.net. The links show up after a couple of months which is what they claimed would happen, so I can't complain.

Yes, I used to use something similar to 3waylinks back when I started IM. It does work for low competition sites, but in my opinion it is over priced and not worth it. They charge $60/month for 250 links/site for up to 50 sites, if I remember right, and once you cancel your subscription all your links are deleted. They also take forever to index, I have found much better and faster success just buying blog comments instead, due to their fast indexing. For example on my Annihilator package which gives 20,000 links in total, you can see 1,000 get indexed in the first 10 days with Yahoo Site Explorer. And thats only, $28 this week.

Yea I use my techniques on all my sites. All that info can be found on my site, for example with my Annihilator, I just checked one of my customers sites who started off with 234 links, and he has over 1500 in Site Explorer right now about 10-12 days after the links were built. This package costs $28 currently. I have proof of sites I have ranked and tons of reviews which talk about there ranking changes, but I want to take it a step further. Currently I am ranking a site each for each of my packages, showing backlink indexing and ranking change data through Market Samurai, hopefully I can put it up in a week or two, I have a bunch of med school exams right now.

I actually did this earlier, but when Market Samurai crashed, all my graphs and data went to hell.

Are they just making 1000 profile links, and not doing anything with them? are they mass making blog comments?

If the links don't get indexed they are useless.

If you buy services, it's usually a good idea to check how many of the links that where created where indexed, the ones that weren't indexed, try throwing a couple of backlinks as them as well (ie link wheel / link pyramid / etc). building up links can help in making them a lot stronger as well.

But really what i am getting at is one of the golden rules - understand what you are buying so you can leverage it to it's full potential.

Exactly, different kinds of links have different index rates as well. Blog comments usually index quite quickly because they are main pages on a site and regularly crawled, on the other hand, links such as profile links take some time to get index because it takes a while for the spiders to get into all the profiles. Building pyramids increases the SEO value of the links, but it also increases index rates, because it directs spiders to these links. This is the reason my 2nd layer of Web 2.0 consists of Blog Comments, because they have tons of spiders which will crawl onto your Web 2.0. If I made the 2nd layer consist of Profiles, it would take MUCH MUCH longer.

I've had plenty of success with outsourcing things on here. Just don't get seduced by some of the big numbers like - 15k backlink packages etc - I've seen the best results with high pr (pr4-pr8) profile packages and link pyramids and I do a serious amount of testing. Add in some .edu and .gov links and you'll be flying up the rankings.

Yea link pyramids are great, but for profile links it doesn't make much of a difference. High PR and normal profiles both are PageRank 0 or N/A and are in no way connected to the main domain directly so they don't have much of a benefit. You could compare this to sites like EZA where the articles are featured for a short amount of time and are connected, but for profiles it takes a while for spiders to get there from the main domain. I would rather just invest my money in more profiles than high PR ones. I have done tons of SEO campaigns with both, and I haven't seen any benefit from High PR, besides a slightly increased index rate, which is more than made up for if you buy normal profiles in bulk.
