HI, I recently purchased The Google Sniper 2.0 system and i was just about to start putting it to practice as i think it is a good system. But......I just heard that there was a GOOGLE Slap last week and it has affected alot of SEO on peoples sites and blogs. Is this true and if so does anyone know if it has affected the Sniper System??? Thanks |

It effected a lot of people. The sniper system is really really basic. If you're targeted that low of competition with your sniper site, it isn't going to effect anything at all lol. I wouldn't worry about it one bit. If you picked a good niche, you will be fine.

I haven't bought the sniper course, but I feel that basically Google implements these big changes because they want to create the best search experience possible to users. I.e. when someone types in X, they get X. So what we as marketers need to do, is give google exactly what they want. If your want to rank for X, make sure your site is about X, and over-delivers on the subject of X. Put yourself in the users shoes. If it was you and you were looking for the content that your site is about, would you be happy when you found it? If the answer is no, make some changes until the answer is yes. Just my thoughts. |

on the type of content you had on it, if you're referring to the farmer update. What will screw site is if they heavily relied on back links from the likes of Ezinearticles etc which all got heavily slapped.

One of the Latest Matt cuts interview tells That. "Whether keyword is in your domain name or not, your site still ranks top if you develop brand with quality backlinks for ex:reditt, twitter, yahoo have created that much power" I am not saying sniper not working,But In my feeling sniper works for low competition keywords not for high competition keywords. |

I heard Matt said they were trying to place less emphasis on exact match domains. I agree with him that at the moment they give way too much of an advantage. Just because you managed to buy the .com, .org or .net site doesn't mean your site is better than the rest. Sure one would assume it will be relevant to the keywords, but this doesn't make it better. I guess there will always be some advantage to having the exact keywords which is ok, just not as much as there is now in my opinion.

Yes, I haven't got Google Sniper but out of what people have said it looks like the "bare bones" of Internet marketing. All of these CAN work but it is just whether or not you put in the work. I personally think that the web and getting traffic from it is moving towards Article Syndication and this is the real key to getting people in your niche to view your content. Chris |

To be honest, my sniper sites haven't noticed any difference except for a slight upturn.

Google sniper still works, but you should be trying to add your own spin on it. Do the keyword research how they say and instead of just making 3 post, make 10 based on lsi keywords. Expand the method so that you can dominate. There is a lot of people who bought the same course as you, and you need to realize you will not be just the only one implementing it. You should make the site as you normally would, research the lsi keywords, and find some with low competition. Make those keywords into other articles on your site. My main piece of advise to you is take action and put it to work. It will work if you do it. |

exist in a vacuum. It's clearly not the 33% remaining where the issue lies.

Google Sniper 2.0 is a great system and it works. What you have to remember is to follow the system but understand that it is all about volume because some of your sites will rank easily and some will require more work.

Google Sniper system isn't that great. You are basically trying to find keywords that have basically no competition and rely heavily on EMD and Onpage SEO to rank. Any competitors that come in and throws a few decent links on their site will outrank your Sniper sites, easily. There was a case study where some guy had over 120 "sniper" sites and they were only earning him something like $320/month COMBINED.

Google Sniper sites should not be penalized to my opinion. I bought it and think it is very good. The system says nothing about posting duplicate or spun content but rather focusing on a low competition keyword and writing a couple of unique quality blog post in your niche. I currently use for it for four of my sites. One of them is on page one and one is on page two and climbing I still have a lot of work to on the rest of them.

Obviously, the 33% isn't making waves. People have STOPPED what they have been doing because of this! LOL, it is ridiculous. Just because 2/3rds aren't ranking doesn't mean there is a huge issue. Look at the 1/3rd that is ranking. What was done right? Did they have links, did they get traffic, what is the competition like? The issue is very simple... 1/3rd of the articles, are doing something right. 2/3rds are not. Figure it out! The issue isn't about quality content, or even unique content. It has everything to do with relevant content(trusted content) or popular content. That is all.

I was experimenting with the principles of Google Sniper and my perception of the new algo hit and did this just to see. I opened a basic (free) yola site. I put my main keyword in the sub-domain...http://coldpizza.yolasite.com as an example. The title and description of the site had the keyword included. Then I wrote a single, short paragraph using the keyword twice. So it was like a mini-sniper site. I submitted it to about 10 RSS feeds, pinged it and bookmarked it once. It is definitely climbing with no additional backlink/article submit efforts. Be selective with your keyword and LSI and go for it. I think the changes will be good for Sniper...just use original content. |
