Default RSS Feed Question

On my site I have an RSS feed button at the top that is a grey color. And when I click on it, a page with multiple lines of text shows up.

I haven't touch the RSS setup since I been working on the site. So I was wondering how do I setup my RSS for people to subscribe too? And how do I change my grey RSS color to orange?

Firstly, if the button color is grey, the button color is grey. You'll need to create a new button using an orange color if you're looking to have an orange button.

Secondly, it seems your RSS feed is directly linked to "feed.xml" or "feed.rss" feed being whatever the name of your feed is by default.

In order to have people sign-up to your RSS feed you'll need to syndicate it via an engine such as FeedBurner by Google.

This is something automatic in wordpress or whatever script you are using. whenever you will make a post, it will automatically appear in rss feed. RSS feed is a very useful thing and the main purpose of it is to provide the users with content so they can subscribe to it and get notified whenever you post new content to the website.

I would prefer that you leave it the way it is. If you want some more options in it then sign up for feedburner.com.

Edit: Here is example of another feed in case you are still confused: http://www.warriorforum.com/blogs/sportsfan54/feed.rss (this is the feed of your own blog at WF). Whenever you will make a post in your blog at WF, it will appear in that feed.

Yes, if you are using Wordpress then there is lots of option for this, you can do it through any plug in also... some themes also support it.

To boost your SEO, make sure you submit your feed to as many directories as possible.

Your content will get syndicated quicker, you'll build backlinks naturally and will boost your traffic.

Hope that helps.
