Hi, what's the best way to use Yahoo answers to drive trafic to your site? Is it simply answering a question well, and including a link to your site? "..if you'd like to find out more..." kind of thing. I don't have enough points to post links yet... just wondering, is it ok to do this? |

I would prefer that you establish your strong profile out there. Chances are great that you will get banned if you will post not clickable link in your each post at level 1 or 2. Earn points, reach to the level where you can post links. Then answer the question properly (usually takes less than a minute to answer any question). Post your link in like 40% of your answers. Like this you will not get banned and your website will get much exposure and traffic.

I see ocassional visits from answers posted a year ago, though the traffic has never been very large. It's tricky, any obvious marketing will get you banned, make helpful answers (the best one earns you more points toward embedded link privileges) place all links in the reference section. Watch your email for rejected answers you might be able to contest and get them restored. |

You can get a large amount of traffic if you do provide genuine insight into the solution for the question. If your answer is complete you won't have an issue dropping your links as a resource.

You can ask a keyword rich question under one yahoo ID and then sign in with a diff ID and answer it lol. If one of your yahoo IDs does get flagged as spam, you can always create a new one....

Yeah, its simply answering question but make sure that your answer is accurate and helpful to get the interest of the reader to click and visit your resource included.

The concept is mainly helping the Yahoo Community, if you are helping with the good answer then you may use link as well but don't use too many links, say one link on 10 answer would work good.
