HELP! A Warrior Is About To Kiss The Dust

Good day to you all. Well all i need is your help. Few Years Ago, i got fascinated with internet marketing, as a result of this i bought affiliate marketing product from clickbank. I follow what the product teach and i did the following

1 I picked a niche, conducted a research and came out with with a domain name
2 I registered the domain name with hosting account and built wordpress site
3 I got account with getresponse for list building
4 i sign up at amazon.com and i got adsense from google

Obviously, without traffic there is no way someone can make a dime from the steps. So, from the teaching of the product i learnt about two types of traffic, one which is paid and the one which is FREE. i decided to go for the FREE traffic. Beside this, i knew from this Warrior Forum post that in order to get free traffic, one must built links, with this in mind i did the following

1 I sign up with 10 article sites, excluding ezinearticles because of there subscription
2 I join 3 niche related forum
2 i registered at 20 bookmarking websites
3 I got account at Technorati and scribd
4 I join yahoo answer community ( i have got 3 best answers so far, i am on my way to level 2)
5 I registered at freepressrelaese and got one account

These are the things i did so as to have some places to generate backlink and traffic. Let me tell you what is on mind, all i want is to rank number 1 on google and yahoo for my website. Now is here is where i want you to help me out and i have some questions to ask, thus

1 HOw many backlink do i need to build so as to rank number 1 on google and yahoo including other search engine ( my niche is acne solutions)?
2 How can i target keyword for my website for maximum optimization on the search engine?
3 Is it my website i needed to book mark or my blog post?
4 in quest to get first page on google, i came across the following things
a high quality backlinks $97 ( service)
b Autority backlink pro by steven essa $97 ( software)
i want to ask if you have use or you know about any of the two should please tell me your opinion about them before i got my finger burn. These are the things that worry me most of the time to the extent that i am about to kiss the dust, please i want you to help me out. Thanks

How many articles have you written and submitted to those directories. EZA is a free directory - the paid membership is not required.

Have you posted on the forums and participated to build a reputation in the niche?

4 I join yahoo answer community ( i have got 3 best answers so far, i am on my way to level 2)
I don't waste my time on yahoo answers...but some people like it

5 I registered at freepressrelaese and got one accountAnd you've submitted proper press releases?

You are on the right path to promoting a site - but how much of the work have you done? How often do you add more content to the site?

You build backlinks "until" - until you get rank, until your site moves up, etc.

You target keywords with good content using chosen KW phrases.

But - if you've worked to get things set up as you have, now you have to do something with it. I'd advise not buying link-building services or more IM products about "how to" or software until you've started doing the work and tasks you're now set up to do.

I would check out this site: www submitedge com What you want to do is pay them to submit your site to Directories. Forget about their other services, getting listed in 1000 directories will help your site significantly, although it won't be enough to get 1,000's of visitors, you might start to get a couple every day.

Well, so far, you have started a good job. A very key question that i would like to ask you is: what keyword are you targeting?

I think you have done a GREAT job in your initial setup.
It sounds to me that most of your work is going into "reputation building" or you might call "authority building". This is great.

It leads to higher quality clicks from customers that trust your website already.
Your list of things oyu have done touches only a little on link building.

Although a super start, I concur with friendclk in submitting to 1,000 directories. Many here on this forum would scoff at that but it should be an outsourced first step in all your projects. Like building a quick and easy foundation of 1,000 links upon which to build the rest of your link campaign on.

Don't think of them for any kind of traffic, a give a little (even cursory) research to the company you buy the service from. Make sure they are not dropping your link into porn, spam or warez directories.

Great start and you are thinking really good about this project.

An idea for you is to look at who shows up in the top 10 for your keyword and using a spying tool to see who they are linked to. Try to acquire those link sources as well.

Yes, this term is pretty competitive. Just start building tons of links, and wait for your site to move up. What position is it currently? And how old?
