Default Screw Adwords

I've been a paying customer of google for almost three years now and, despite my perfect track record, I was banned today from future use of the Adwords tool.

Here's the rub... I have no idea what prompted this ban. I do not sell get rich quick schemes and at the moment the only ads I had up were for free reports on article marketing.

If google had simply called me or emailed me I could have cleared this issue up and they'd still be making a few hundred dollars from me every month.

Life goes on, do your best to stay within the confines of the rules for google, because at any moment you could get the axe without warning and without explanation.

What really makes me angry about this whole thing is that any number of random competitors can report you with false accusations and google can pull the plug without looking into it.

I very much doubt that is true in any way.

Don't Adwords have an appeal process like Adsense does?

I was banned for life last week. The email thread basically went:

"We sent you some warnings and you didn't listen, so we are banning you for life."

"Really? When did you send them? Where did you send them? Why do you think what I did warrants a lifetime ban? Is there an appeal process."

"Many complaints have been received by the kind of sites you were linking to. Google's policy it to give the best possible user experience, blah blah blah."

"Great, but can you actually answer my question? How are those specific sites not within Google's policy? When did you contact me, how is a lifetime ban justified, and how can I appeal this decision?"

"As per our terms of use which you agreed to when you signed up, we can ban you any time we want for whatever reason. Sorry for the inconvenience. lol noob!"

Google's willingness to employ heavy handed tactics to "improve the user experience" is a slap in the face to the people who were willing to use AdWords before anyone else was and gave them the revenue they needed to go public, become bazillionaires, and give preferential treatment to corporate partners. This is how money changes people for the worse.

But what are you gonna do, huh? Guess I'm going to Facebook. (Until they completely sell out too)

I had my account banned a couple of weeks ago due to landing page violations. I rang the 0845 number for the general adwords setup line.

The lady on the line was very helpful and explained what I did wrong. She also said that I will not get my account back.

I had a violation in 2010 and they warned me. So cast your mind back did you ever get a warning? This is strike 1 against your account. It could of been years ago. 2 strikes your out.

How ever to my surprise a couple of weeks ago, stating after reviewing the website of the first violation we now find that you have changed the website as such we are re instating your account.

My advice. Before you call them. Delete all campaigns in your disabled account. Make sure that the website you tried to promote is now nothing to do with how your intentions were originally.

What I did was place domain parking on the old website. (It was a get rich quick site. I was a newb)

This was the site that had been reviewed again as such they re instated me.

Then give them a call. And ask for a review.

And yet Google seems to keep making Billions in spite of pissing people off.

Why? Because their competition is almost zero so they can.

Bing is not exactly kicking A## and taking names.

Let us clear here, were you using one ad word account to two different websites? If it is so that also may be one of the reason for ban your account?
