Does keyword order in a domain name count towards SEO? I mean does it matter if your primary keyword is first in the name or comes later at the end of the domain name. Any difference?

Wrong forum for this question - try Adsense/SEO etc.

Yes, it makes a difference... since, when somebody searches for "x+y", the search results (e.g your site) which is ranked for "y+x" will possibly not appear in the search results of keyword. It could rank for individual keywords, like x and/or y, but the keyword of "x+y" is treated as an individual keyword by the search engines.
