Blogger based website - exploring the money making opportunities...

Hi there,

I am what you would call a noob at this forum, and, for the most (and I mean most) part - a newbie to internet marketing as a whole. About a month I started my IM career with a wordpress based website, followed a guru "make 3000 a day" program and...*shocker*...FAILED

so now, after investing money into software (and a Phillipino content writer), and investing lots of time applying the techniques described in the guru's program (if you must know - Mass Money Makers - by the way, the program itself MIGHT work, I don't know, so I'm not bashing or anything) I am still without a single dollar in revenue. But after I realised, that one program was not going to cut it, I started looking for other sources of information and saw that there's a vast sea of possibilities to make money online, so that's a huge upside to my failure...now I am a student, who is spendint every single day studying all kinds of techniques and am hoping to achieve success sooner or later.

The thing is...I currently do not have the ability to pay for anything (including hosting/domain) online, so I saw this as a good opportunity to try something, that many think (and may be right) is almost or at all impossible - make money online without investing anything. Since I am not nearly at a stage where I could make an ebook and try to sell it without having a website, or can think of any other internet marketing involving way to make money without investing online - I will be trying to make money with a simple website, based on blogger.com

Hopefully, even if I try and fail, this will be a rewarding experience, although I hope that by the end of this project, I will have a consistent flow of some kind of revenue.

So now, that I basically covered my life's story, continuing with the actual idea...the first thing I need to figure out is the best way to make profit from a blogger.com based website...I understand, that there are many ways, but I feel that it must differ from what you can do, when you have a website of your own.

Any suggestions and feedback on what way to make money to try would be greatly appreciated, I am hoping to make this journey of mine a valuable learning through experience recourse for others.

I am thinking in terms of affiliate marketing, amazon marketing, CPA...which is best suited (I'm guessing there will be some restrictions when you don't have an independent server and domain) for blogger.com based site?

You should really look into buying a domain and hosting. It would only run you $15, and another 5$/month with a coupon code. PM me if you want to buy domain and hosting.

But as far as your question goes, I haven't really seen anyone make a decent amount of money from blogger blogs, but try targeting a nice adsense keyword and maybe through some amazon products on it.

Another question just came up - does anything change (in comparison to a self-hosted website) when choosing a domain name do the search engines rank the blogspot domains equally well, or worse and do backlinks work as well?
