Default Problem with multiple keywords for my niche

Hi Guys,

My niche is the material ceramic (made up). All my products are made from ceramic, so I will be optimising for all these keywords on the product pages, ceramic kitchenware, etc.

My issue is my material ceramic has 4 different words/phrases commonly used by people searching for it, for example ceramic, ceramics, polyceramics, ceramico.

How do I target all of these keywords on my homepage? This is a legitimate eCommerce site, so I can't exactly create a separate page for each term and fill it with content (or can I?).

How should I address this when SEO'ing my homepage? How many should I target in my title tag? Is there an optimal way to say target 2 in the title, then include 2 in the H1, etc? On the homepage I will be writing good copy to address all my other keywords/products sold.

Thanks

Optimize for the most searched term, by incorporating the keyword into the title tag, meta description, h1 tag, and top it off with some internal links (with targeted anchor text) pointing to the homepage. Although, the best way to optimize for ALL of the terms is to build backlinks to the page.

So overall, optimize for the term that has the most traffic and build backlinks (with targeted anchor text of the other keywords) to the page.

I would put the most searched term in all the important areas like the poster above suggested. Then I would try to use the other terms at least once in my site/content somewhere. The best thing to do next is to build backlinks using all those terms as anchors.

I have ranked several sites for terms which they were not optimized for, just by building links using those anchors.

Thanks guys, good advice.

Question: CAN I target two keywords, or is this not advisable? One keyword is in my business name, so it is present in the domain and title by default, but it is not the highest ranking keyword it is the second highest. Can I get away with using my highest keyword in titles, meta, etc and my business name which its my second keyword?

I'd make sure that every keyword variation is mentioned at least once on the front page. Then I would just vary up the anchor text with the different variations. Use the variation that is the most important for your the most and the one that's least important least.

Well, I think the best keyword will be "best ceramics" or "luxurious ceramics", this are just my opinion, just giving you my idea on that keywords.

I'm located outside of USA and only focusing on domestic market initially, so these search terms have insignificant volumes compared to the generic keywords for the term. I will however be targeting all tail keywords through blog postings down the track.

Can anyone answer my question above? If a keyword is in my business name, can I try target an additional keyword also?
