I'm having a dilemma with Adsense on Blogger, and I was hoping someone might be able to help. I want to put Adsense on my sidebar, but: Google requires me to have a privacy page. Google doesn't allow me to have adsense on my privacy page. Anything I put on the sidebar shows up on my privacy page. Does anyone have any idea how to get around this dilemma? I'm stumped and have been unable to find a solution. |

There is no dilemma. It is perfectly acceptable. Many sites that use the same header, sidebar, footer, etc. on every page will encounter this. This is not the same as breaking TOS on pages without content. If you really want to be 100% sure, put some more "stuff" on the page. Also, your privacy page does not have to exist on blogger, right? Blogger is really a 3rd party partner with you and your adsense account. You agree to this. IMHO, blogger is now responsible for a privacy agreement. And they have one already there. I have never worried about a privacy policy on blogger. Isn't a privacy policy really part of your content? The rule is really in regard to pages that have no reason to exist except to show ads. tagged.com is an example of a site that puts adsense on every page. Paul |

You can make stand-alone pages. Click on the dashboard on Posting, then on edit pages. There you can make up to 10 stand-alone pages.

Well, I think I solved it. The solution, should anyone want to use it, is to wrap the following around the "div" holding the adsense code when you expand your widgets: <b:if cond='data:blog.pageType != "static_page"'> and </b:if> |

I have an Adsense policy on every single site (no matter the host), better safe than sorry. You only get one chance with Adsense... |

| That's my philosophy as well. I was just finding it annoying that Google's own blogging host seemed to make it impossible to follow their own TOS.
