Does pinging a blog you left a comment on make it get indexed quicker?

I read on another forum that is what someone did.

Would this make a difference?

Haven't tested it yet.

Pinging just tells the spiders that the page has been updated and that it needs to be crawled. It may help it get crawled quicker, but it doesn't necessarily mean it'll get indexed quicker.

It depend on the PR of the blog. The higher the PR the more frequent it is crawled.
