So I had a website, with a PR4, ranked in the #2 position in Google for over a year. I recently checked it, and it has vanished. I do see that other pages from the site are indeed indexed. Now I'm not a SEO expert, but what the heck has happened? How can I get it back into the same position? |

Google slap? It does seem strange that it would happen after being on top for so long. My guess is that this is temporary. I had a site that went away from the first page for 3 months but it did come back. I think it was due to shady link bulding. |

Could be a temporary slap that has something to do with the recent algo update.

Yeah, very strange. Hopefully it will pop back up. As I said, there are other pages of the site indexed, and in fact, I did find that main page indexed as well when just typing it in...but it just lost all ranking.
