Default "scam" keyword conversion

Was just wondering if any warriors out there reading this who do niche sites could let me know how certain keywords convert. More particularly the category of keywords that go something like "product name scam".

I see whole sniper sites dedicated to those keywords, but I've gotten mixed opinions from others on the issue.

I've never really gone after them myself because I don't often see a high enough search volume, but if the conversion is high enough I might add some in.

Thanks in advance guys.

I don't like using the scam tactic as many users can see trough it now as it is overused and because I personally dislike it.

But in some niches it helps conversion a bit and frequently can grab the attention of searchers towards a review site.

I think 'scam' does work, but I don't really like using it. It has a kind of cheap feeling to it. I use the word 'complaints' occasionally, but then I will genuinely list the complaints about the product. The problem with reviews on the internet is that 90% of them are completely fake. As in made up by marketers trying to promote the product.

Clickbank ask that affiliates don't use that term.

Don’t use “negative” advertising campaigns. While some affiliates think it’s a good idea to create ads like “Is Product X a scam?” and then link to the product, we strongly recommend that you not use this method of advertising. Many vendors are opposed to people associating their product with being a scam, and can request that ClickBank ban particular affiliates from promoting their product if they catch them doing this.
Sadly I had to ban one affiliate within days of adding my product to CB - and I expressly ask on my own page that affiliates don't use the term. I ask them to contact me to discuss the matter if they feel the product really is a ****.

the "scam" keyword dosnt work for IM products anymore. i suggest that you dont waste your time and efforts into it, the internet changes and so does people. people are more and more overseeing this term and dont really pay attention to it. now if your market is other than internet marketing than go right ahead and do it by all means
