Default Adsense Earnings

Hi,

I own a blog which is about breast cancer. Now, i installed awstat and Google analytics both on my blog, but these show huge difference in traffic stats. I want to know for adsense, which data i should follow or which correlates well with adsense earnings data? I receive 100 unique visitors and 1000 page views a day according to awstat report. Google analytics shows almost 10 times less traffic than awstat.

Thanks,

It depends on the keywords you used in a particular page. That will determine the amount you'll earn click. Some clicks are worth more than others.

Google analytic is more accurate in terms of visitors, Awstats provides you with hits from bots, scrapers etc too which really isnt something you need to take into consideration. The only time i use AWstats now is to gather information about the bad bots to eventually block them from crawling.

I'd stick with Analytics. Also, Adsense gives you its own data of impressions and clicks.

I'm using both Google analytic and Awstats. I think Google analytic is not as accurate as Awstats as it is javascript base where as Awstats reads the log files. However, I use Google Analytic more as it shows more information, and the traffic difference doesn't really bother me.

As Riverwire said, Awstats is a bit more inaccurate since they count bots as well...

Just listen to Google Analytics I guess. There is no 100% accurate tracker, but it's good for giving you rough estimations...
