Any ideas? Site is #11, just need a little push to get to page 1...

Hi Warriors,

I've recently started to build out "sniper" sites and to my surprise I already have one at #11 for my main keyword. I've done quite a bit of backlinking but I'm still at #11.

Any ideas for a push to get onto page 1?

You may try creating a quick Squidoo lens for it and link back with your kw phrase as anchor. I usually ping my lens at ping-o-matic after creating a new one. Takes about 10 minutes for me to create a new lens and get it published. There are of course many other options available to you. This is what I thought would be quick and easy to get you a little bump but certainly don't rely on this one method.

Daniel Tan has/had a very good WSO out there how to "push" stuck sites. It involved some high quality links (like edu, gov etc.) ...and then some serious link building momentum to get the sites "unstuck". Sorry, would have to look here or on Google since i don't have the URL anymore.

As far as i remember the theory was to make it look like a site got immense popularity (through a sudden surge of backlinks)...but at the same time using those EDU/GOV backlinks to make it look more "legit".

Try tiering your links, or something. You can get an idea of what I'm talking about through my sig. Copy a structure like that, and you'll do well.

What kind of links have you built?

How about adding some variety to your links? High PR blog comments, Videos, Software Directory submissions (PAD files), Press Releases, web 2.0, in text hyperlinks, blog networks, retweets etc.

How about strengthening your already existing backlinks by building links to them?

What about link velocity? In a 'natural' situation, if your website is getting popular, it will gain backlinks at an ever increasing pace right? Can you create that (fake that)?

Before you do any of that, you should make sure that your competition is beatable! If they are hyper relevant and hyper authority sites with a gazillion backlinks your input needed may be huge!

You can also try a 'signature surge' - you've got a couple hundred posts here on WF, throw in a link to your site in your sig with anchor text.

If you're building sniper sites then you should only have 3 short articles on the page. Provided you've waited about 4 to 5 days, now is the time to add your 4th article with your primary keyword.

If you have already done this then you have two good options. Either add one more short article (250 to 350 words) with your primary keyword and/or buy a social bookmark gig on fiverr.

Aside from my suggestion earlier, just keep building links. It's really the same question as "how do I get my site ranked?"

Also be sure to check your keyword with Scroogle. It may be showing # 11 for YOU, but may already be on the first page, or may on the third page, for others.

Get a few more links from actual high PR "pages" and not just from the inner pages of high PR domains.

Guest posting on an authority website will also do the work.
