5 squidoo lenses and no backlinks?

About a month to a month and a half ago i read that creating a squidoo lens for a backlink can be good, so i created 5 lenses for 5 of my sites. All lenses were indexed within a couple days, but even after a month and half i still show NO backlinks from ANY of the 5 pages to any of my 5 sites. Why is this? I've read multiple times that creating lenses for backlinks is a great thing... what's the deal? They dont seem to be nofollow.

What's weird is i've commented on a different lens a while back and got a backlink from that comment... but still nothing from my own lenses.

right a review of your web pages and post those reviews on, Blogger.com, ezinearticles.com, goarticles.com

I think your results may be more along the lines of what you want.

Try to create dome high PR BLs and Blog Comments and Ping them

There are many variables why those backlinks may not be showing up. For one, not all backlinks show up in tools such as yahoo explorer etc etc. This is a fact. Secondly, sometimes it takes time for them to show up, I have noticed that with squidoo links and other web 2.0 sites

Personally I would focus and continue what you are doing, less thinking and more doing and focus on results rather than checking what is showing and what is not.

I have a site that is showing 8 backlinks, even though I have been building links consistently. How do I know they are taking effect still? My rank is improving day by day, week by week.
