How many directory submissions do you do in a day and are safe? I am working on this now but I have heard a lot of different numbers from not more than 5 a day to 100 or more. Also, how do you do the directory submissions? Do you vary the keywords in that same day or do a batch with one keyword? any advice would be appreciated! |

Do not worry on how many directory submissions you do in a day. You can do it as much as you can. Directory submissions can be done by finding a list of directory sites (very easy to find because there are thousands of them in Google). You will choose a category relevant to your site and them you will just fill the form, submit it, and wait until your link is approved.

Just a quick point - a lot of directories out there aren't worth your time and effort posting your site on. If you were posting your site on 100 a day - my guess is 99 of them would be junk.

Well I have decided to go the directory way because my top competitor has recently added 1000 of them and he currently holds first place for all of my keywords. I figured it helped him it might help me??

| Not all, but most free directories are a waste of time. Either they accept junk, or they have to spend so much time reviewing free submissions that it can takes months for an approval.

Directory submission is a marketing practice followed by the web master. Directory submission plan allows usage of single url, multiple titles and single description to be submitted in different directories.

| Directory submission is one of the most important things to do when it is link building. It's a guaranteed way to get links from hard road back to the desired domain or subdomain. |
