Digg Front Page Secret

According to Darren from Problogger, a great secret to getting front page of Digg is to add a picture of failure itself. What I mean is to add a picture to your post showing a person in some form of grief. Anyone sad or frustrated is fine. These types of Digg posts get on the front page of Digg.

If you notice Diggs front page links, you will notice that most if not all have some sort of picture along them while the least popular posts have no pictures at all.

The pictures are an easy way to attract attention. Darren from problogger used this technique to attract probably millions in visitors.

Although I would add that it probably helps to have a decent amount of followers to begin with. A long list of followers with the same interests is bound to get you some extra digg votes to the pint where your link will be noticed by many.

I definitely have to say thanks for this tip. I have a great post that has like 5.000 stumbles and hundreds over hundreds retweets and comments but only 28 diggs. Of course the image is not a person in grief, lol. I am going to look into this and try to "win" it.

Lol~ Picture maybe helpful to attract attention, but for getting digg you still need good contents and some luck.

Hmmm...I have just been using Digg to get indexed quickly. I wonder how I could get an organic gardening picture of someone in grief. Oh! Dangit! I wish someone had taken a pic when I was bawling my eyes out over two collapsed greenhouses last year! If only I'd known! LOL It does make perfect sense though - trainwrecks - can't tear your eyes away!

How DOES one get Digg followers? Do you do like on Twitter and follow people hoping they'll return the favor?
