Okay, am still really new at all of this! As part of my campaign I am using Directory Submissions to get backlinks. Now, do any of you ping a directory submission or let them get indexed organically? How do you do it and why? thanks! |

| I ping every URL with a backlink to any of my sites. For my bookmarks I use the built in pinger included with BMD. For other URLs I use a pinger that I purchased. I do it because it keeps my links alive longer. I think it is essential to automate the process, though.

If you have the live link, ping it, if they aren't auto approve directories, makes no sense to ping as your submission is on the mercy of directory admin.
