hello , My website is on Page 10 , with Twenty odd pages of content and 16 Backlinks. Yes , I don't really know how to get backlinks.

But yesterday I found This website ransks above me MW

How is this possible?

You do not have your own domain and MW has a Google PR of 4.

I agree. You don't own the domain so don't expect too much. try getting a domain name with your keyword in it, and make sure your internal linking has your keyword in it as well.

I found that this site has 64 backlinks, there should be reason why it wins agains yours

There could be a lot of reasons. Without knowing what your site is about or how you have it set up, it's tough to offer you any constructive advice.

If your budget can swing it, I'd recommend buying and using Market Samurai. It will give you priceless information on what your competitors are doing. Then just copy them and do it better. Works like a charm!

Sorry, didn't catch the link to your site in your signature. That being said, I would agree with jbhyip above. You need your own hosting account and a domain name as close to what your site is about as possible. Then just transfer your site as is, it looks great. Keep adding relevant content and build some quality backlinks.

The competing site has an exact keyword domain match as I'm assuming you're trying to rank for MW3? Plus, it may have more backlinks and may simply have more seo friendly content.

The domain you've linked to is an exact match domain and has more backlinks.

You'll have a hard time outranking it for the "mw3" keyword unless you get your own domain with the keyword, do proper on-page SEO, and create more backlinks.

The question really should be, why should you be ranked
over these "fools" and their "lousy" websites ?

Come on, man. Patience and hard work, that's what.
There is no formula. There is no easy way to riches.
You can't just wish things and make them so.

There are just better sites than yours at the moment!

If google thought you deserved top billing, they would give it to
you. You can't just make a site, do a few things on a list, and
instantly be on top.

Somewhere, somebody keeps teaching that you can. It's not
as simple as a list, or black and white.

Simplybeastz, unlike the others, I'll actually give you some concrete answers here. In this one case, that site beats you on age alone.

You have to look at this from the perspective of the GoogleBot, the robot that looks at trillions of pages and decides who ranks where.

The robot sees:
1) There are links to MW from 1995!!! Age counts more than other factors in the eyes of Google. That site is more than 16 years old and has 16 year old links. In internet time, any site that old gets HUGE bonuses in Google rank. Yours is two months old.
2) MW has a Google page rank of 4 and Yahoo reports over 400 backlinks to it, many of those backlinks are over 10 years old!
3) That is has the word MW3 on the page. That's enough for Google

What does this mean to you? GET BACKLINKS. Get them now. Don't wait. There is a whole forum section on getting backlinks. Stop complaining about another site on Page 3 of Google and get to work!

Also, I hate to say it, but your chances of ranking on Page 1 for "MW3" outright are pretty low. You'd have to throw tons of money into backlinks and that's pointless to a site that you don't even own.

I don't know enough about Blinkweb to know how to do this, but the fact that your post titles are regular text are hurting you. Your posts need to have big titles with <h2> tags for Google to take notice of them. Fix that.

Then go after some deeper keywords directly. Write posts about the following with these specific titles:
MW3 News
MW3 Screenshots
MW3 Release Date
MW3 Preorder
MW3 Cheats

and other things people would actually be likely to search for. Get backlinks for those and you stand a chance of getting some decent traffic.

Not too sure why you are surprised it is ranking above you... You both have very low backlinks and he has an EMD.

You seem to be under the impression that "unique" (however you define that) content is somehow valued over other important factors by Google, when it is not. Backlinks, site age, keyword domain, all trump your "unique" content.

(1) Having the exact keyword as the domain helps a TON. If I want to rank for pigeon stool, then pigeonstool.com will rank much easier than myfunnysite.com for "pigeon stool". That is just how google works. Everything else being equal, the keyword domain will win every time. I've had exact match domains rank in the top 3 of google for the keyword with only the fresh Wordpress Install and absolutely no content, no title, etc.

(2) They have you out backlinked. I ran mw3.com through SEO Spyglass and it came back with 392 active do-follow backlinks.

(3) The competitor's site is way older than your subdomain.

(4) Get your own domain.

It really is that simple.
