With +1, Google Search Goes Truly Social

^Good read on a new system google is trying to push... If this becomes a reality then am I only one seeing flaws in this? Why does Google want to become a social network? I can just see bots popping up that auto +1 your site...

Very interesting stuff, there are certainly flaws such as the bot thing but I'm sure with Googles intimate knowledge of spam they'll have ways to address this.

I also am very puzzled to understand this phenomena and how it affects the positioning of site on SERP that the main point please some one discuss it in detail to make clear our understanding about this term.

Interesting, especially when it talks about Google at war with Facebook. I read on another forum that Facebook should team up with Bing and put their search box on the site to dominate!

I don't think it will affect the rankings for now or it will be spammed to death. Look at likejacking. I think it's just to get people to use Google more.

Ya I think so too. Not everyone has a Google Account, and people wouldn't care enough about SERPs to register one, well not normal people.
