Guys, I totally understand that we have to Google dance. And I've seen it done on different pages of my site allot. I've seen it where one page will dance and others won't, or multiple will and multiple won't. I understand this. But here's what happened and need advice. After seeing my site get 60 + visits a day I wanted to test out adsense. The first day adsense was up on my site, my visits jumped to 80 then the second day 96. The third day my site "entire site, every page" sunk so far down the rankings. Majority of the whole site is around 600 - 900, phrase and broad. Question is, is my entire site dancing? Or does Google not like my site due to something in doin? I really don't want to lose my adsense account if you know what I mean. p.s. I forgot to mention before the rank drop I had just moved my sidebar to from the right side to the left and these adsense ads were placed on the top of this column. This wouldn't cause the drop would it? |

Moving your sidebar isn't going to affect your rankings, that's for sure. Honestly it just sounds like a coincidence to me. Did you do anything else different before this drop in ranks? Did you suddenly stop backlinking? Did you suddenly increase your backlinking? Also - if you are worried about your adsense account just be sure you are not breaking any adsense TOS. Be 100% of this, as even one slight misuse can cause problems. |

Your only going to lose your adsense account if your running a thin MFA site that doesn't pass a manual review, or showing nudie pics, promoting wacky hate groups or selling guns. If I go to your site and think to myself, Hmmm, another worthless MFA site, you may have issues. I only have a couple of adsense sites and all of them resemble real websites and don't use the popular adsense themes or layouts. These sites don't convert as well and I am losing money but they should pass an inspection by the google police. As far as your ranking issues, google tech support has failed to reply to my I Can Haz Rank Plz! K Thx! emails so who knows. Typically the sidebar is placed on the right side for SEO purposes. This is so your content is read by bots first and not your sidebar clutter. Having an adsense Ad followed by 20 links to your best buddies, your facebook friends widget or whatever other silly things people put in their sidebars could effect your ranking. Bots read from top to bottom so whatever you feed them first is going to skew their impression of what your site is about. Take a look at your webpage source code to see exactly what they see. I've never tested the difference and have used right side sidebars for as long as I can remember. Sidebars on the left side tweak me out almost as much as having to use a MAC, it's unnatural and should be banned for the good of all humanity. |

Right sidebar...more voodoo SEO. No wonder some of the biggest sites (amazon, wikipedia, nytimes, etc) just don't do well. Do a google search. Notice where they put the sidebar? Is there ever going to be an end to this list???? Where on earth do you people get this stuff? Come on, you know better than this. Paul |

Thanks you guys for all your thoughts on this. I don't understand why it fell back so far in ranking. As for still being eligible for using Google Adsense, how do I find that out? If my Adsense is still accessable, then I should still be able to use their service correct? Thank you for your guy's help. I truly appreciate this |
