Hi I just got into blogging and bought three blogs which had been making money for about 6 months. I opened up my google adsense account and put my codes in and was promoting my sites. 7 days later i get an email from google saying they have disabled my account for inappropriate click activity but i never clicked on my ads? I am an honest person and spent quite a bit of money on them, and would never click on my own ads, they were making good money as it is. Has this ever happened to anyone? Also, someone told my to if i want to open another account, to hide my IP address as google will track that this and just disable me again if i keep it shown. Would appreciate some peoples thoughts |

Submit an appeal. You probably triggered their filters making such a large amount of money so quickly with a new adsense account.

I was banned and lost $9000 dollars last december... good luck. An appeal *could* work but if it doesn't, don't bother trying to create another account unless your willing to do the following: Apply from a different IP and NEVER login from the same old ip again that was linked to your first account Apply from a different name & bank account Put adsense strictly on different websites & never on the same one again |

Hi all - i have lodged an appeal but looking through the google forum i dont think i will be in luck, it seems no one gets re-istated. My method to buy ready made sites might have backfired, but i shouldnt be punished for it seegreen88 - unfortunately google can do this and do it often from what i read. claywalsh - i know you can buy ip hiding software, do you think that will be suffice? |

I had my adsense account banned three years ago with the same explanation as you. I was frustrated but ignored them. I bought a new domain with a new dedicated IP, and opened an account under my wifes name, and kept adsense income going in that new account for a while until my operating costs were higher than my adsense income. I let it all go including my adsense income. My account is still in good standing, but not ready to get into adsense again... It's really up to you to decide. If your income was good enough, then move to another IP. I'm referring to a domain IP. If your own at home IP was banned, that's another story and you may have unwillingly done something to trigger this. You might just learn something from this which is like you stated when getting involved with pre-built sites... Sure, you can hide your IP using a proxy, but Google is smart enough to figure that out in time I would think. Good Luck ![]() Bernard |

Sorry to hear about the termination of your adsense account. At least your livelihood is completely relying on it. Now its time to diversify your income so if one goes out you still have other sources.

I think its probably worth mentioning that adsense shouldnt be used as a primary source of income for this reason alone.

At starting with Google Adsense, you shouldn't depend on this, you should have other ways of going..

That sucks dude. I would definitely get on a call with them and talk about this incident. Do that first, and if they are still declining, than you could open a different account as many warriors suggested.

Same thing happened here. They banned me just as I started with Adwords. The e-mail explantion was vague. I applied for Adsense for something totally different it said 3 days to be approved or dis-approved. A week later I'm still waiting ?

This sucks, i know...It happened to me too 8 months ago.I made an appeal and after 3 weeks i got a negative response.Do as you wish but concerning me i decided that it doesn't worth the shot trying again and again to get your Adsense account back. You may get it back sometime and again for no reason, you may be banned again...

Yet another thread with the same old same old google bans me for nothing. Completely untrue. We know nothing about these 7 premade sites and their history, nor anything else. And it's so hard to believe how people try and shmooze the system, like opening up another account, different IP, etc., then we wonder why google has such a firm hand? With all the click fraud, lying, cheating, breaking TOS that goes on, it's a wonder google doesn't do more. There are very common violations of their TOS that sadly many here just don't care about. Many people think that if google does not directly spell out something, than all variations are okay. A wise person will read every bit of TOS, and never, never try and get around it, in any way, shape, or form. One of the most blatant violations I see is no content above the fold. Does google specifically state this? No, but they give you a strong word of caution. Still, people stick 2 ad blocks above the fold, no content. Just ripe for a ban or disable. There are many more common ones, most are ad placement, content, and traffic. Did you know that all adsense users are required to follow all google webmaster guidelines? When is the last time you read those? How many of you just blow them off because you don't care? Paul |

Google got VERY strict lately, this is why i am getting very paranoid when it comes to AdSense layouts. An appeal will with a 99,99% chance fail. DO NOT use very obvious "made for adsense" and low quality sites, no copied content, no "tricky" adsense layouts. I say it again, what people could do a few months ago is now reason for a ban. Dont use Linkunits which look like a menu, do NOT use link units on the sidebar integrating into a menu. DO NOT use big ad blocks WITHOUT wrapped text. Headline over adblock COULD already be a reason for a ban. Wrap text, better chances. Reason also that a site visitor doesnt get only ads over the fold and needs to scroll down to actually see content. This is why you better wrap text around the ads. Look at your content <----> ads ratio. 3 adblocks, 3 linkunits and 300 words text? FORGET IT. ---> PRIVACY POLICY!!!! Again..they got very strict and they are really weeding out all the low quality sites now. Have a site with QUALITY traffic and quality clicks even if overall CTR might be lower. I think this is the best thing you can do. |

I think Adsense will not reply to your email. Many people have the same experience. You mat try any alternative of Adsense. Here is a list of alternatives of Adsense... 1. AdBrite 2. Bidvertiser 3. Chitika 4. Infolinks 5. Pocket Cents 6. Kontera 7. Clicksor 8. Exit Junction 9. Yahoo Publisher Network 10. Fastclick |

I agree with Paul. I'm often amazed at some sites that are blatantly just made for adsense and nothing annoys me more than having to scroll down past advert blocks just to find, what often turns out to be, poorly written content. |

I have heard same thing of my friend who have a adsense account on Google but I do not understand that what's happen there. If you do not click on your ads then why it is banned by Google. I think Google has some coding problem.

Clicking on your own ads is not the only reason you can get banned. You should read their TOS and Google Webmaster Guidelines.

are the webmaster guidelines found in the webmaster tools? actually, ill google it lol. to the OP, hey man you have to be careful, write long, QUALITY ARTICLES, i think the TOS was a couple pages long, i read it ALL. dont even bother trying to get it back, use the list an above poster gave you and branch out into a couple more... google can do what ever they want, they OWN the internet, they are a big corporation, just as if you were one of their employess, which in essence you are, they pay you, they can give you the can at any time. | |

I maintain a website for a friend who had his adsense on it. He died recently (cancer). I'm in the process of redoing his website and I've removed his adsense from it and am going to see how well Bidvertiser works on it. His site had over a thousand pages, so it may take a week or two. Bidvertiser or Adbrite would be my options in your case |

If you choose to create another Adsense account, in addition to using different IPs (not sure if this matters, actually), it is critical to to tie it to a different person's SSN or EIN. Google will ban you if it detects any irregular clicking. This means a competitor can go to your site, click 4 ads sequentially for X days straight, and possibly trigger a ban. |

paulgl - whilst i respect your thoughts, i have read the T&Cs and abide by them. I bought sites which were makin great money with adsense for quite a long time and only buy quality sites. They fully adhere to all T&Cs, unfortunatley Google said in there email it was for invalid click activity which i never did, whether a competitor did, im not sure

Google did ban my account about 5 years ago, along with closing down 3 of my gmail accounts on the same day leaving me with very little. Appealing, looking for support was a waste. I got adsense back up after a few days by creating a new adsense account under the name of a family member and changing the ID. No problems to date. I was considering putting it back on my blog which I know would increase my adsense earnings 300% but after seeing what you were banned for its putting me off. Rather than going to other PPC networks that will pay next to nothing, try PCA or sell advertising space. Kevin |

Hey I got banned too - 2 weeks ago. I'm new to this so I didn't loose much. I have spent the 2 weeks researching and trying new ways to make PPC $$ - but nothing comes close. If anyone has any good ideas other then Adbrite, Amazon and Clickbank i'd like to know. Oh yea - I begged them for my account back - but... I got the standard reply - no...not in this lifetime. Thanks... Bill |

Sad to hear. I've also heard that Google can be real assholes when it comes to this. But hey, you know whats good? There is lots of other ways to monetize a site easily. Even if Google Adsense might pay good and is very easy to use. You can always try to make a call and hope that they will reopen your account. Cry, and show that you really don't know what they mean and whats happened. That might do the trick, but probably not since they do whatever they want these days.. But a primary income should never be Google Adsense. Because you never know when they will screw You, big time. Regards, Alex Nash |

I don't know, I had a friend complain his adsense was banned, and he had $100 threshold (does everyone?). He said at $102 they banned it. I asked him why? He said his blog was a year old and he only had sidebar ads on it, until about month number ten he had sidebar, in between posts and all over. He said it looked pretty salesy but in fact was making him money. In fact his his page views had increased from nill to 50 to 400+ a day as his site evolved over the months. Tried to contact Google no replies. This guy is honest and doesn't do anything black hat so to speak and I know if he had that many visitors he was making his impressions. Not sure what you can do though.

I am sorry to hear about you Adsense ban. I am just speculating, but I was wondering if you purchased your site from Flippa? There are lots of unscrupulous sellers on Flippa that use social/paid traffic and other means for inflating traffic and revenue numbers. Do you think it is possible that the person you purchased the sites from was sending paid traffic/Adsense clickers to the sites? Were all sites purchased from the same seller? Good luck with your reconsideration request. |
