Google slap

Does anyone REALLY know what makes google give you a google slap ("sandbox") ? There is much info out there about this but everyone has a tottaly different opinion.

I personally would carry on as usual with you routine seo procedures. From my understanding the only way you can get penalised is by using duplicate content so I my advice if you were to use plr articles would be to use a article spinner software as a bypass.

Does duplicate content means: rss feeds or plugins like wp robot or UAW?
