Stay away from hubpages! Just get your links from other web 2.0 properties without all the politics about the place.

Yeah, you need to write very high quality content and fill it with images and other webparts, make sure you backlink it and get lots of visitors to keep your Hub score up.

As a beginner, the backlinks are all "nofollow", as your score increase, your links become "dofollow".

Dofollow links from Hubpages are very good so as long as you are willing to put in the effort with your blog you should have some very good backlinks and direct traffic.

Cheers,
Dave

Holy crap - I don't agree. I just wrote four articles today for hubpages.

one big advice - link all your relevant hubs together.

Hubpages is a community, not just another article directory. If you treat it as such and interact with others by commenting on their hubs, following them etc you'll do well.

Yawn... I wouldn't go submitting as many hubs as you can for SEO purposes because it isn't going to really increase the amount of backlinks, or pertinent backlinks in my opinion. If you're doing it for traffic purposes, then have at it.
