Default Are Google Sniper sites effected by the new Google Farmer update?

Hi there,

I was just wondering what peoples opinion was on Google Sniper sites being effected by the new Google Farmer update.

My previous post on this was removed, I am not sure why. It may have been cause my title used caps and exclamation marks?

Anyway one of my sites which has been happily sitting on page one (which also is peppered with a load of other sniper sites...I think I chose a bad niche) has suddenly disappeared to page 65! I haven't made any changes and like I say, it has been fine up until today.

I have been building backlinks and these are now being picked up. I have more backlinks than most of the people on page one. I know this doesn't say much, but they are good quality backlinks.

Someone suggested that it might be the google dance? And I am hoping it will get back up to page one in a few days. This sounds more probable. But I am concerned that the other sites I build will have the same fate.

My understanding of Google Farmer is that it is effecting content and link farming sites, like hubpages and squiddoo.

The majority of the sites that I am building are review sites for amazon and provide valid and unique content to the user and are not spammy.

Any thoughts on this would be very much appreciated.

Also can anyone explain the Google Slap? I just heard this today also.

Thank you.

Clojo

Could your site be classed a 'thin' affiliate site? Google Sniper sites tend to have only a few pages of content, which might not be looked on favorably by Google.

My sniper sites are unaffected by the farmer update. I'm checking my stats right now for one of them and it's in #1 as usual.

I wouldn't say so. I have several posts at the moment (about 8) and I am hoping to add more content soon.

I wonder if this might be the Google Dance that is effecting my site?

I've just started using Google Sniper in the past two months, but my sites didn't seem to be affected. Google does like to move my ranking around every couple days, but it doesn't seem to affect it too much. Hopefully yours will return in time.
