Default PPC impressions and branding

Maybe this is a stupid newbie question, but does it make sense to take advantage of the mass amount of impressions one gets in a PPC campaign to try and boost branding? IOW, even if I'm only getting 10 clicks for 100,000 impressions, that's 100,000 views (potentially) of my ad that could be put to good use.

If my company, ACME WIDGETS is trying to sell Cheap Blue Widgets, doesn't it make sense to make sure ACME WIDGETS is plastered all over the ad copy (or at least mentioned somewhere in every ad) so that even for non-clicks it helps to boost the brand awareness?
