Bitly For Backlinking ??

Been at the forum a while, but only just jumped in. I have a question for you SEO experts.. If you use Bitly to shorten and track a link to your site, do Google recognize this as a back link ?

Yes they do. Not sure if it passes the full amount of link juice though
