Market Samurai Problem

Market Samurai won't return data for searches on my version.

Is this happening for anyone else?

try restart the program, if still same then it means they are in maintenance. Try back some time later.

It's been like this for 24 hours and restarting the program doesn't help at all. Cheers though.

Looks like they're working on it.... just wish they'd hurry up! I hate using Google Keyword Tool - you can't organise/sort your keywords properly at all!!! It's a mess!

I am a new user of Market Samurai and Mine keeps freezing up and crashing. Could it be that I'm trying to analyze 5,000 keywords at once? Would a smaller list help?

Any tips or tricks you would like to pass along would be appreciated.

5,000 keywords! I normally analyse no more than a 1,000. Break the list up.

I kind of thought so. I was actually following a WSO that had said to drop the keywords I created into Market Samurai. I will break the list up and see how it goes.

Market Samurai was crashing regularly for me whenever I tried to undertake keyword analysis, but after upgrading to the beta version of Adobe Air 3 I haven't had any trouble at all.

Rank Tracker Module in MS is running like and geriatric snail on sleeping pills, this has been the same for nearly a week now... really, really frustrating. Let's hope they get a solve fast.

Market Samurai seems to be a bit hit and miss lately with IF it will work at all, and when it does, more often that not is so slow that you have to leave it to run overnight

A pity, since it WAS a great program.

I've been using SERPAttacks for most keyword research stuff lately. Much more reliable and faster than MS :P

I've thrown in the towel with Market Samurai. It's slow and a big, fat memory hog!

Check out SECockpit...this is by far the absolute best, fastest and most intuitive tool on the market. Only thing is it's price... >_<

I just did this and rebooted my PC and it's working much better now. It's still a bit slow, but nothing like what it was. I was pulling my hair out!

Just a heads up, when you search for the Adobe Air 3 update you have to search exactly like that "Adobe Air 3 Update" but with no quotes. If you just do "Abobe Air update" it still only offers version 2.7 something.

I got a reply from their support yesterday that said the same thing about upgrading to Adobe Air 3. This has been an ongoing issue since June that's affected a lot of people. They say they're working on it, though.

I love using MS because of the ability to test multiple phrases at once and being able to break things down by phrase once the list has been cleaned and sorted.

Yes, it's time consuming and there's no such thing as "perfect" research, but it greatly increases the chances of success rather than just going by a "red light, green light" system.

Personally, I want to SEE the numbers and decide for myself.

I'm hoping they get this worked out soon. It's still working slower than usual, but I did manage to get quite a bit done yesterday through it all.

The sad truth is I upgraded to Adobe Air3 two weeks ago because of the 1.7GB memory problem. Now, it just doesn't seem to be able to deliver the goods at all. Guess I dodged more frustration by not buying into their new keyword tool release.

Have to agree with you on directly seeing the numbers though. It's one of the reasons I added MS to my arsenal with MNF already in it. Both are big G based (with some approach differences) but I have to say that the MNF guys STAY on top of their maintenance. Stop lights are better than nothing.

If you go the noble samurai support site, then click submit ticket, a list of recent ongoing problems is shown. One of them is only getting 100 results instead of 800 with an adwords account. The other issues are crashing and failing to complete keyword searches. They say they are workign on it, so hopefully it'll get fixed soon.

MS is still my favourite KW research tool. I tried SEcockpit but wasnt that impressed. Perhaps it's improved since it first came out.

The thing is with so many tools around today, im trying to keep my monthly overheads down by opting for one time payments rather than monthly. All this stuff adds up!

So, so very true. On the other hand, I just refuse to have my business held hostage by a tool as a single point of failure. Especially if it demonstrates flagrant unreliability. I guess it really depends on the expense of the tool vs. the size of the income stream it potentially blocks. At some point it becomes worthwhile to develop and implement a backup tool. If the unreliable behavior continues, time to find a replacement. At this point, I'm not sure I could recommend MS to anyone. It may already have seen its best days if it continues to decline in this fashion.

I kept ignoring that, it would not search anymore
once I downloaded the update it works just fine

except it only gets 100 results not 800

but I am sure they will eventually fix this after 1000 people bitch them out

I cant stop using it the SEO competition on the top 10 google is worth the price

My biggest issue with Market Samurai is how slow it can be with large data sets...I try and be precise with what I am searching for and doing with it, otherwise I just let it load while I work on other things.

Guys, if you still having issues with Market Samurai, follow Wide's advice and download the latest version of Adobe Air, it also solved all the problems I'd been having.

Also, I've observed that it helps to use a different AdWords account for every search.

is there another way of checking SERP's without MS. My copy of MS is totally messed up since the last update, it's got all my files mashed up. Rank checker doesn't even work properly now.

Hi thanks. Yes, i've gave that ago. for some reason it wasn't returning google results either.

MS have just released another update to deal with the messed up keywords in rank checker. Bit late now though, months of research has been jumbled up.

My kw searcher now returns 800 results, before it was only 100 before the latest update

also I kept getting a message, Adwords tool is down, that went away also

I even realized recently that results from Rank Checker are messed up and many times the rankings do not match reality neither Seobook 's free rankchecker(free tool).
