I'm curious to know what layout most of you prefer to use for an adsense based website. 2 column, 3 column, width of website?

Thanks for the feedback but I can't imagine doing well with bluesense. My site was a 3 column 960px website with about a 45% bounce rate but I wasn't getting a lot of clicks, and the clicks I would get were images which get me about 2 cents. So I tried making my site more text link focused and tried out a 780px layout with left column navigation and two 336 rectangle text ads above and below the post. I've ruined my bounce rate and taken it to 75% and I'm not really getting anymore clicks. Think I might have to resort back to my old design. |

For me usually Ads in the begining and end of your content (posts) perform really well as compared to top banners, side banners and homepage banners. If you experiment with the highest CTR ad units you can leave just those on your website and remove all wasteful units dragging your CTR and CPC down. | |

This question comes up on the forum most days, but you really have to ask yourself what you want to achieve. Of course we all want more clicks, but not at the risk of getting a) banned from Adsense for excessively aggressive ad placement b) deranked by Google for placing ads in an overly dominant position that spoils the user experience. I would be concerned about using a theme like Bluesense. Sure, I can get more clicks, but what is a manual reviewer going to conclude when he/she sees it? God, not another Bluesense-themed MFA site..? So I prefer to experiment with different ad positions until I get a reasonable CTR, but not to overdo it. I've had well into double figures before but I personally don't like it. Just be sensible, is all I am saying. |

| I don't understand, why would you pay to join the War Room and then get yourself banned from the WF..? Seems a waste of $37, or did you think you might sell a few of your services before you did?
