Will a content gateway hurt your seo rankings? If you need specifics lets take the following scenario. Do a google search for "online dating review" Online Dating Review 2011 - TopTenREVIEWS should be the site listed in the results. Let's pretend you owned Online Dating Review 2011 - TopTenREVIEWS and put a content gateway like this (http://www.themoviereleaser.com/wp-c...ay-example.jpg) on your home page. Would your rankings fall because of the content gateway? I would like to know if anyone has experience with this scenario. |

Well, I can tell you what would happen: I'd copy the link and put it over to Firefox where I have NoScript enabled and just read the content. Because I'm feeling very outsmarted, if you let a machine (the search engine) read it, but not me. Additionally, most of the times, I can't even take part in any of the offers and everything seems to be a bit broken. Personally, I hope that those sites get penalized. But I'm looking forward to reading whether anyone has made practical experiences with that or not. |
