Hi, I just wanted to share this little trick with you guys. It allows you to find out the 'actual' visitor value for ALL of your keywords so you know how much that visitor is worth when they come through to your site based on historical data from your site. This is what you need to do: 1) Ensure that you have analytics on your site. 2) You NEED to be selling a product on your site so that you can setup a GOAL for that product when it is sold and apply the VALUE to it. 3) Let it run for a month or so. 4) Go back and check your analytics for that month or so and view ALL the keywords that have brought traffic to your site. Click to show 'GOAL VALUE' and sort by %. 5) Find the keywords that visitors have searched quite a lot to come through to your site that have a fairly high goal alue. 6) Target those SAME keywords using Adwords exact match. Ensure that your highest bid is below the GOAL VALUE for that keyword. Ideally by quite a bit to give you a comfortable margin. 7) Let the campaign run and watch the profits of your sales roll in. What this technique does, it allows you to find out how much EACH visitor is worth to your using your sites analytical data history. All you are doing is simply using that data to target the same keywords that bring traffic to your site that actually convert. It's worth experimenting with! Good luck. |
