Linkbaiting is certainly the most appropriate for google but also most difficult to you unless you have extremely valuable content everybody want link to. I would suggest to organize your content according to keyword analysis - go for longtail. And then create contextual links from high quality sites to your specific pages. Good luck! George |

Link baiting is fine. However in order to get prople to link to your content 1- You need to have something people want to link to 2- People need to know that you have that special valuable content. This is why link baiting has never made sense to me for a brand new site. I would say that the most white hat method would be press release distribution. This is something that all companies do and has actually nothing to do with SEO. The point of press release distribution is to get your name out there. You will obviously benefit from it SEOwise also. |

The best white-hat methods in order from my experience are: 1. Link bait - make infographics, they work great 2. Guest blog posts 3. Blog comments - added benefit of learning something as you go ![]() 4. Article directories 5. Squidoo lenses |
