so i am trying to pay someone for services via paypal but i don't want to wait the 2-3 days it takes for my requested funds from my checking account to hit paypal's system. can i pay with a credit card through paypal? better question, can i pay with my personal credit and not have to register for the Paypal credit card to do so?

I've yet to find a way to do this, but I'm watching this thread with you. I've been trying to to figure this out for a long time! I think that it just isn't possible for security issues. If the instant transfer option wasn't given by PayPal when you tried to send the money, I don't think you'll get any other option.

I'm not sure why you are still looking. The option is there. Or at least it has been. I believe the last time I checked the merchant had the option of turning this feature off or on. I assume a merchant would not want to have this feature. I may be wrong, but there may be different rules when paying that might not benefit the merchant. Paul |

Hi redstanford, PayPal allows you to make payments using a variety of methods including: PayPal Balance, bank account, credit card, PayPal Credit, and debit card. https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/we...cation-outside For new buyers, signing up for a PayPal account is now optional. This means your customers can complete their payments first, and then decide whether to save their information in a PayPal account for future purchases. https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/we...ccount-outside |

Yes you can use your credit card without registering. I've done it many times before. Just make sure you're not logged into your paypal account. The merchant you're paying through should have a payment form with the option to login to paypal, or pay as a guest.
