Default Malware when using backlink software?

Over the last 2 or 3 days I got 3 different computers infected with the 'MS Removal Tool' spyware and then just 1 hour ago with the 'Windows Fix Disk' spyware. It happened in one case while running a blog commenting session on Scrapebox, and now while creating bookmarking accounts on Magic Submitter.. They are nasty and I have wasted several hours to get rid of them

I have Kaspersky Enterprise, PLUS I ran the SB list through their malware/spyware check addon, PLUS I ran all such programs from within Sandboxie, yet I keep getting infected.

Has anybody ran into anything similar and if so, how did you solve it (I don't mean getting rid of malware, I mean finding the right protection)?

thanks

marco

Yeah buddy, it is a common and real problem.
You see, all those programs will load webpages and some webpages are infected with that crap.
In short, run it in VirualBox or something. Adware and Malware are recognizing Sandboxie and know how to bypass it.
I run BitDefender Internet Suite 2011 and AVG on my home computer and every attempt is blocked.

If you want to be 100% safe, run it from a virtual environment. (may require reactivation of your software)

Where did you read about Malware getting around Sandboxie?

I have been using it for about 2 months and it saved me for the first time a couple of days ago. I was feeling really safe for a change, until I just read your post.

Thanks,

Dennis

Hi Dennis, this seems to happen specifically with MS Removal Tool and Fix Windows (or was it Windows Fix) malware finding its way through Sandboxie, at least that was my experience

regards

Marco
