Market Samurai Issues...

After recent update for MS, not getting results for PBR, SEOT or total searches. This just started past day or so. Anyone else having issues?

Something funky is going on, I can get it to return seot but it takes several tries. Sometimes I have to restart the program for it to work. It hasnt worked at all until i downloaded the newest update today. The seoc is not filtering correctly either but i imagine they will have all this fixed soon.

there seems to be an issue since two days due to a recent Google update, see here:

I haven't been able get access to the keyword tool for days, now having read this thread I know why.

Hopefully they will sort it quickly.

Was hit or miss for me yesterday but today it is totally not working. Id be willing to bet it will be resolved by later today or tomorrow unless it was a major change.

just used it quite a bit today with no problems. Ofcourse we all know the search and competition numbers are way off, but aside from that it's working ok here.

Hi!

I've had problems with M/S for >10 days. I cannot get Total Searches nor Adwords data.

I have filed several support tickets. They all get rolled up into one.

I have had ONE response in ten days: asking help desk 101 questions.

I have sent several debug files.

NO response.

NOT even "We have a problem with ... and we're working on it"

The silence is inexcusable and totally unprofessinal.

I like the software very much however something fishy is going on. I feel like handicap without it any suggestions on other way to do market research. Thanks

I just got the full version of MS today (19 Aug. 2011) and after going through all the suggested material on their tutorials;

I started to think I need a, "How to Properly Use Market Samurai for DUMMIES"

Then it hit me.

Go see if anyone on the WF has had an issue with MS.

Sure enough, just as you stated SamuraiKat, the some of the functions are not working or showing blank results.

Has a herd of sheep stampeded their main servers or has someone dropped a truckload of Foster's on em or something horrendous like that?

Until they get out from under what ever hit them . . .

does anyone have an alternative suggestion on what to rely on for keyword research and market competition data?

I'm a newbie and do not have enough experience yet to gage what tools should be working in what particular way.

I am sure glad this forum exist.

I've gotten funky search numbers, cpc's, etc. lately. For a few weeks it wasn't working at all for us.

You might want to consider a new keyword tool called LongTailPro. It's not as robust as MarketSamurai, but it's faster and gets the job done.

Whatever tool you use, make sure to double-check the numbers with the GKT before purchasing domains or starting all the work...

OK, so it's not just me then....

Been very frustrated with Market Samurai since their last software update so I dusted off my Keyword Elite from Brad Callen and that too is having problems connecting to Google so seems it's very likely Google is doing something to prevent these tools from connecting....

Accckkkkk.... I loved Market Samurai...

I have been in touch with Market Samurai support and they said that they have been having trouble with an update the Google did and that they are trying to resolve the issue.

As much as I used MS, that's what I get for relying on one specific software to perform a certain task in my research. Although I have SEO Powersuite, Keyword Optimizer Pro, etc... I used MS to put the data all together.

It's a tough break but I hope they get it working soon.

Hey Eagle - Seems to be a combination of the last MS update combined with an update at Google

When I started having problems with MS it was on my PC immediately after proceeding with the MS update however I remembered that MS was also installed on my Mac Book Pro so I fired that up and didn't allow the MS update to install and it's working on an older MS version on the Mac
