Default The Impatient Backlinker

Hello everyone,
First a little backstory:

I have trying to break into the IM world since Feb 13 of this year. Seems more like 2 years than 2 months! I went about it the wrong way first (stupid, pointless Clickbank products that promised instant riches) and have since corrected my ways and am off and running. Trying out Adsense first while dabbling in a couple Clickbank products that I found (what I think) are great keywords for.

Anyhow, I have made a total of..... wait for it..... 10 cents USD so far from adsense. Double digits?

I have learned the best of the best of onsite SEO techniques from many of the fine Warriors on this forum through purchasing WSOs and also many effective offline techniques. I have a detailed notebook in Evernote of what I am doing and how often.

My issue is that 99.99% of my backlinks are not getting indexed / showing up as backlinks! I've tried pinging, RSS feeds and then pinging, social bookmarking and pinging, and attaching them to the cat and throwing her in the bathtub watching her run around the house at 100 mph/kph to see if they will magically appear that way (Ha!).

Proposed solution:
I did lots more research and am now trying the following. Lets see if this will work... I purchased Backlink Energizer and have had that running for a few days - not worked yet...., hmmm.... then found a thread comparing The Energizer to Linkalicious with a Warrior wondering if they would work well together. THAT is what I am going to try to find out. I purchased the lower level paid account and am running all of the backlinks that have allready been 'energized' through Linkalicious. It has been running this way for about 12 hours now. Still no more backlinks BUT patient zero (my first adsense site) appears to be doing the Google dance at this moment - dropped out of site. We'll see what happens.

I'll update this tread periodically as I get results, don't get results, or get more impatient.

Keep on Truckin'

Firstly, Backlink Energizer is an awesome piece of software, I highly recommend it!

Linkilicious is great too as it gaurantees a 100% crawl rate.

But I am not too sure that they will work together, they sort of cancel eachother out a littl don't they?

Either way, I think you are overthinking the backlink indexing process.

It's great if your backlinks get indexed and counted in your SEO analysis tools but.. (listen closely) some backlinks will NEVER get indexed and others won't even appear in your analysis tools, HOWEVER they will still count towards your rankings.

The search engines purposely don't show ALL the backlinks of each page as it would be way too easy to take advantage of their backlink portfolio.

Another thing is that search engines will often crawl the backlinks and know they exist, but not regard them as good enough to add to the index.

My advice would be to just not worry too much about indexing backlinks, instead just focus your time on actually BUILDING the backlinks.

Also, build more backlinks TO your backlinks. This should increase your indexing rate but also push more juice through your backlinks and giving them an overall better quality rating.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Dave
