Please answer my simple SEO question

Hi ,
I want to create a news website targeting many countries with sub domains
If I want to target key phrase - breaking news + country name (ex. breaking news India)
What is the best way to create sub domain in SEO point of view
In.breakingnews_____.com or
India.breakingnews_____.com or
in.breakingnews_____.com/india/index.html

If they are all subdomains I would go with your second choice.

Yes,it would be better to have the country your targeting first in your domain rather than at the end of it for seo purposes.

- The first one doesn't make any sense at all: do Indians look for "in" when looking for their country on the Internet ?
- The second option is clean and concise, matching the search text
- The third would be ok if you removed the "in." prefix . Same reason as in the first one. I'd also remove the "/index.html" - It adds no info for the user and doesn't match any search term. It's just noise generated by the web technology that you are using. Trim it.

Are you creating a masked subdomain, if so from an SEO point of view I am sure this will not matter, get ranked other than search engines, by choosing letter that begins with A or a number like number one. Then you can index better, higher up in these portals.
