Which are the best free blog sites for backlinks?

I have used Blogger, Wordpress, Squidoo, Weebly, Blog and Hub pages.

I would like 2 or 3 more recommendations if any of you warriors can help?

Do you mean to write unique quality article to get traffic. I wouldn't be fancy at spending too much time for writing articles for if someone copy paste our content then it becomes the duplicated content as per new algorithmic change with google.

Just so that everyone knows what I mean:

I have a website in the health niche and want 8 unique blogs that link the text 'how to lose weight' back to my site.

So need suggestions for another 2 or 3 blob sites

Do a search and find "Health Social Networks" and create a blog through thier membership. Like here...if you were into the IM niche, I'd say use your membership here to create a blog. The niched social sites hove a buildt in customer base that you can tap into.

Relevant...relevant...Google loves that stuff!

You forgot the best one; Wordpress.

Also check out Blog.com and Tumblr.com. Tumblr has a lot of authority, but they are nazi's at deleting anything they think is spam.

I would rather go for Livejournal, Weebly and Tumblr as my top free blog choices for building backlinks. Squidoo and Hubpages are very tough right now after the Google Panda update was in effect.
