Why would my account show a click with no earnings?

I'm not sure why this happens, just that it happens to everyone else every now & then. So your not alone.

It can mean that either your SEO on the page isn't up to par and Google didn't know what it was about, so it placed a kind of non-profit link there. So there is no payout on that link.

Or it can mean what ever your niche is, for some reason they didn't have a paying customer for a link at that moment, which again means they probably gave you a non-profit link.

You need to figure out why. Check your on page SEO. If your site and page are good SEO wise and you are focused on a strict topic, then you may want to look at other things that may be wrong. Also, if you have too many ads, sometimes Google can't fill them all with quality or high paying ads at one time. It all depends on the niche, number of ads, On page and on site SEO.

Ok, there are a couple of reasons you may be experiencing this. First, if you're using the Allowed Sites feature, you might have forgotten to add all of your sites to the allowed list. When you use this feature, AdSense reports will show clicks and impressions from all sites showing your ad code, but we won't report earnings generated from sites that aren't on your allowed list.

If you're not using the Allowed Sites feature, then it's possible that you have some clicks or impressions that our monitoring system considered to be invalid.
