| First of all, thank you for reading. I am a newbie in Adsense. I made this blog (babyshowerideas.blog.fc2.com )Baby shower favor ideas and baby shower games[/url]) and I believe if is not bad, but I am not making any money with it. ![]() I have a low CTR which I find very low. So I need some pictures in it? Are the type of ad and size suitable? Are the adds in the right place? Sorry for the number of questions, but I am financially broke specially after this terrible earthquake here in Japan. ![]() Starting with free service and later on to payed domain. |

Where exactly your traffic coming on? Home Page or inner pages? If it is on home page then you can make it static with a page (NOT A POST) via wp-admin>Reading settings and then use a high CTR wp theme like CTRtheme.com (or any other theme, there are so many of them!) Same way you can optimize your inner pages for better CTR too!

For the ad's place, I can say you small tip. You get the best results when the images ‘complete the story the ads are telling’. For example if you have ads about apple pies, use pictures of freshly baked apple pies, instead of granny smith, Macintosh, pink lady, and braeburn apples. | |

| Thank you guys! Right, picture should be related to the story. I have a free blog from FC2. It ranks pretty good for long tails keyword. I use other blogs to bring my traffic. This is a new site so I don't have much of traffic from ranked keywords. |

Hi Claudio, First let me say that you need to edit your post and remove the CTR. It is a serious violation of AdSense TOS to disclose your CTR in a public forum. Having such a low CTR is an indicator of poorly targeted traffic. You need to focus on your SEO and traffic generating efforts to get better targeted traffic. Having multiple articles covering varying topics all on the same page is not a good idea. Use your home page as an introduction and navigational aid to link to highly targeted articles focused on a single topic based on your targeted keyword. Build more content and promote targeted traffic to your each individual page/post. Build you traffic first then focus on monetizing it. |
