Default How How? How? - Google results in US when surfing in the UK

Okay, im trying to do some keyword research for the US and I am only getting UK results which is really annoying. Google auto re-directs me to the .co.uk site instead and I want to see the competition in the US. Andybody know what to do?

Google is detecting my ip is from the UK and im not sure how to avoid it.

Use scroogle.org or you can add "&gl=us" (without quotes) at the end of your url after doing a google search to see US results.
