Need Tips To Outrank Zappos, Gap, Amazon Thanks

when you type most clothing items on google you get these sites over an over an even in other markets you get other of the same ones in that niche the question i had was if you want to stay in the top 1-3 positions an say you have reached it an sitting in top 1-3 positions how do you maintain there or how do these companies i have mentioned maintain there? it makes sense to me that they never stop link building is that the key ingredient they use if you stop your site is going down or will it stay afloat in a competitive market?

Also sites in the insurance, airline etc. the top 5 positions they are all competing to stay on top so they are all continually link building i am guessing right?

Hi Edward: Link building is only really one part of the seo program that successful websites do in order to be successful, including adding new content on a very regular basis -- usually daily. Write great content that will be useful to the visitor and you've got a great start on your way. Good luck!

If all the niches you want to go into are dominated by those companies then you may as well start looking elsewhere. There is no way you can compete.

Not only will they be hiring people to continually link build, they will also be getting a ton of backlinks naturally as well because they are authority sites. Why would someone buy from an unknown web site when they can buy from a multi billion dollar company that is probably cheaper and has quicker delivery?

the first part makes sense thanks as for the second part many reasons i don't buy from amazon an gap all the time but they aren't the only ones out there just because they are a billion dollar company don't mean they have the best products lol

Also they are in thousands of markets so if one focuses on a specific niche like shoes, or bags etc with enough backlinks an content it is possible to outrank them i see it all the time an so do you

Yes they always link build and they never really stop. Well you can stop and stay afloat but chances are that you will start going down in the SERPS
