I'm noticing that about 90% of the websites and blogs I'm visiting these days use Disqus to manage their comments. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to use this system. I feel so stupid..arggg. What I want to be able to do is change the name that gets displayed and the website I use for backlinking purposes. It seems when you use Disqus your Disqus registered name gets displayed and the link goes to your Disqus profile. I see others leaving comments with various display names and website links so obviously it's possible. Can someone explain to me how to do this? Thanks! Travis P.S. I know the links from Disqus are nofollow but I still want to be able to change the website link to my own sites NOT the stupid Disqus profile page. |

I usually dont login when leaving disqus comments. there is usually a login option for guests that will allow you too post your keyword name and website. here is an example: The Flirty Blog • A Lifestyle & Wedding Resource: New DISQUS Comments System... My apologies I am in no way affiliated with this website. |

| Hey Travis, I would recommend setting up your disqus account to have your anchor text keyword as your name and the url directed to your website so you get maximum benefit from leaving comments. Quite a few blogs these days don't have the option of letting you comment anonymously and the added advantage of logging in is that you are more trusted and your comments far more likely to be posted, and in some cases no approval process required by the blog administrator. I had a nightmare last night updating my account on Disqus because I had two different e-mail addresses associated with it since 2009, but finally got them merged and updated my anchor text keyword and link. Just login with your user and pass, and next to the "dashboard" link in the top right hand corner, click on your user id and then click on edit profile. In the "full name" field just type your desired anchor text, and in the next field add the website address where you want the backlink to go to, click save changes and you are all set! Good Luck! |

| That is because those comments are loaded using ajax and Gbot can not and does not execute ajax, hence Gbot never sees those comments/backlinks
