Has anyone really checking into the forum links and see what they are worth? I have noticed that even if the forum signature allows you more than one hyper link only the first one gets counted. can anyone else confirm this? Or is it only one gets counted per the same domain? also, over time the links in the same forum become less and less value and eventually PR 0. Is it still worth building those links at PR 0? Any thoughts on this? |

i believe all your links in your sig are 'counted' plus PR 0 sites are useful. of course it's worth it building links in pr0 sites. you may want to reading my lens on off-page search engine optimization.

| A forum spammer would probably think like that, they have no purpose or use in the forum other than to milk the Sig link until they suck the last droplet of goodness from the teet that feeds them.

I agree i have gotten to good rankings with HIGHLY competitive keywords and a huge part of that was with the help of forum signature backlinks.

| So do you think the PR0 then matters or adds up? And when I analyze my back links I only see the first sig link and never the rest. Have you seen other wise? I hate to keep asking but I must be missing some small piece to the puzzle here. thanks!

Sometimes the quantity makes more than the quality and almost every site with a good ranking has more than 85% only pr0 links, that's why forum signatures are very important. Go for them!

I'm not sure about multiple links in signatures to be honest but in my opinion, gaining backlinks from a range of page ranked websites (including 0's) then it may look more natural to Google. It's only what I believe and I don't have anything to back that up... I just think that it seems pretty logical.

Well I think its interesting to hear that most of the time the fist link counts. But I think all the signature links will be counted if you can make them interesting. However although its pr 0 but remember link diversity is important. In this regard that pr 0 backlinks can help you to get a good rank in google.I am actually more active in forums as I am looking for traffic not just backlinks.
